IN 1987, ORAL LEE BROWN ADOPTED A FIRST-GRADE CLASS AND PROMISED THEM IF THEY STAYED IN SCHOOL AND GOT ADMITTED TO COLLEGE, SHE WOULD PAY FOR THEIR COLLEGE EDUCATION. NOT ONLY DID SHE KEEP HER PROMISE TO THE FIRST CLASS OF STUDENTS, BUT TO DATE, 176 STUDENTS FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES HAVE RECEIVED MENTORING, TUTORING, AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM THE ORAL LEE BROWN FOUNDATION FOR COLLEGE.

“Building A Tradition of Excellence” gaining a quality education and being self-reliant.

The youth are our Future leaders and we have the task of ensuring they are ready to lead and guide us into the future. All the funds we raise are for Supporting, Mentoring, Tutoring, Leadership, Art, and Scholarships, programs for our After school, and Saturday programs at
the Foundation. We want to see you at the Gala to enjoy and celebrate our future leaders.

The David Osborne Memorial Scholarship supports youth in Tech or Engineering.
In 2023, the OLBF set up the David Osborne Scholarship in honor of their valued donor and board advisor. The Osborne children will present the $10,000 award to a qualified student who excels in Technology or Engineering at the Annual Gala on August 5, 2023.
